Summary
All this story is doing is establishing the characters' ages. I'm not sure how old Claude Frollo is supposed to be in the Disney movie. He looks like he's in his sixties, but I aged him down. Think about it: he is very physically active, he rides horses, walks up a long flight of stairs every day, and swings from the cathedral. He can't possibly be that old.
