Heat Is A Murderer

I’m Winston, and I’m fifteen. I live in Orlando, Florida, and the whole country is receiving extreme heat waves. I never thought it would become this bad. I now live alone with my friends, with whom all of their parents, including mine, died from heat stroke. Now almost everyone here is dead.. all because of heat stroke. We do have our phones, but there’s no one to call. They’re all dead. Again, because of heat stroke. Temperatures fly to at least 110 degrees Fahrenheit, and everyday, we see what we’re used to seeing– people passing out and dying. It’s so lonely now, and when I thought everything was the worst it could be, something happened that changed my life forever. July 13th, 2050, my younger sister, Amelia, suddenly passed out.
