When Daniel was seventeen years old, there was nothing in the world he wanted more than to learn how to have lucid dreams. He spent hours researching them at the library down the street from his house, diligently taking down every method he could find. Waking up and going back to sleep, keeping journals of his dreams, reality-checking. He tried it all, and he kept at it faithfully for months. Despite his best efforts, he was never successful. It was disappointing at the time, but eventually he forgot all about it and moved on to new obsessions.And then Louis de Pointe du Lac asks him to redo their disastrous interview, and he starts lucid dreaming every single night.
