Summary
Something like pain flashes over Nancy's face, and Robin sort of wants to die. They never talk about Steve. It's awkward, right, because Robin is Steve's best friend, and Nancy is his ex, and they've saved the world together and almost died in front of each other, but the ghost of Steve and Nancy has kind of... lingered around the three of them. It was there, on the cusp of the apocalypse. There, after Jonathan Byers returned to California and Nancy stayed behind. It's there every time Steve reaches for Robin and Nancy watches, and it's there every time Robin catches Nancy watching Steve with something like dread and longing mashed together on her face. Girls' Night turns into a confessional once Robin and Nancy are left to drink alone on the back deck.
