It wasn’t every day that a new employee was assigned to be an Interplanetary Exploration Ranger, or IER as the job was better known among them, but today happened to be one of the days that it occurred.Tommy knew Wilbur because he was in the business department already, which sounded like the most bone dry boring department one could possibly be a part of. Researching locations of planets to pass onto the IERs sounded like an academic nightmare to Tommy. He much preferred being the one to receive the locations, so that he could take one of the company’s many spaceships to find samples and things of that sort.So when he heard that they would be receiving a new ranger for training, he was ecstatic for the possibility of being the one to show Wilbur the joys of life outside of an office. Since Tommy had been working for the company for more than a year, with countless successful missions under his belt, he was qualified to train any new rangers.
