Summary
“What are you doing here?” the kid demanded, and Phil felt he really shouldn’t be this terrified of a kid who didn’t look like he could be more than twelve. Then again, most kids didn't have entire rows of sharp teeth or talons, so maybe he could get a pass on this one.
“I work here?” he tried, because that was the truth.
The kid blinked, not seeming to really comprehend his words. Phil wondered if it understood what work was. Then, the kid glanced at the wall, where Phil’s logo was painted on, then back to him, where the shop logo was embroidered onto his shirt.
“Is this… your hoard?”
Or, Phil just wanted to have a normal, dragon-free day at work, man.
