Finding a New Path

The concept for this story basically began with:What if Ethan and Silver fall in love during the post-game of Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver. However, it's not Champion!Ethan. In this universe the champion is Lyra and Ethan is Lyra's childhood friend with the Marill from pokemon HGSS.The story also explores Silver's redemption arc starting from the part after he is beaten by Lance, and throughout his adventures in Kanto with Ethan.Essentially it's supposed to be sort of canon compliant but it also expands on what happens behind the scenes of the game when you play HGSS as Lyra. Therefore it is highly recommended that you play the games or are familiar with Silver's canon character development before starting to read.Lastly, this story hasn't been completely written yet so I will only be uploading the first chapter until the rest is finished.
