Summary
For my anonymous flower delivery bingo square
English is also the class period that Principle Smith comes in with a wide smile, a couple of dozen red roses in her arms, and a smaller bundle of Gerberas and Carnations. “Ms. Grant,” she boomed and everyone’s attention was on them, “you seem to be awfully popular. These are both for you.” She sets the two vases on May’s desk with a smile, before taking her leave.
Everyone started to crowd around her, but May didn’t pay them any attention, too busy pulling out the separate cards.
The one on the roses gave her pause, as all it said was, “You may just be the love of my life, May, and it hurts me to see you so sad. I hope these help you smile, xo your secret admirer.”
May pulls the roses up to smell, a smile breaking across her face. She had a hope of who they might be from, but she wasn’t going to say anything unless they did.
