Summary
“Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.”― Terry Pratchett, Reaper Man///Sometimes--those rare as fuck occasions--Tommy actually manages to get away. He reaches the light and he runs and the Blood God doesn’t catch him up again. He knows that the Blood God lets him get away. Knows its not a real escape, its just a reprieve. He knows that the Blood God lets him do it precisely so that Tommy will keep trying to run even though he knows that the Blood God can always catch him.Its no fun if Tommy gives up, the Blood God lets him go sometimes so Tommy will always have the hope that this is one of those nights. The worst part is it fucking works.Tommy lunges for the light, praying, hoping that he’ll be allowed to reach it.He isn’t.
