Summary
Chronicles the relationship between Princess Calithil of Mirkwood and captain of the guard, Tauriel. From their first meeting as children, Calithil and Tauriel's friendship was fraught with ups and downs. More than friendship eventually begins to blossom between the pair as the years pass, however Tauriel's idealism and impulsiveness continues to be a hindrance. Then comes Kili, a dwarf who finds himself locked in Thranduil's dungeons with his company, and the love that had tentatively grown between the two is forever doomed - for the unthinkable has happened and Tauriel has fallen for this dwarf. After banishment and battle, Tauriel eventually returns to the Woodland Realm at her father's mercy, but things are never again the same and Calithil eventually must resign herself to a most sorrowful parting.
