The Phone Call

Aizawa Shouta was enjoying a quiet Saturday afternoon when he got a call from his former student and protége, Shinsou Hitoshi. The surprise call pleases him, but nerves nip at him under the surface when Hitoshi asks if he can come pick him up from the hospital.The first thing that bothers him is that he didn’t know his student had been hospitalized, or why. His stomach tightens at the thought that his student, Hitoshi, his friend now, may have been in the hospital alone. Why hadn’t he called earlier? And where was that so-called boyfriend of his?Aizawa finds that his nerves aren’t settled when he sees Hitoshi up and moving around without anything more than a yawn. He’s hiding something, and Aizawa finds that is enough to turn his buzzing nerves into stomach twisting anxiety as he watches his student closely. Aizawa doesn’t understand why Hitoshi is being so cagey. Aizawa had earned his trust long ago, and now he’s scared something’s changed.
