Summary
Just over a month ago, Melody Amaranth took in a weakened Javis and nursed him back to health before he vanished into the Astral Plane. He did one kindness before he left: ensuring that the magic item he'd used to escape was easily accessible. An unexpected act of altruism.Just over a month ago, Allison Goleta delved into an ancient catacomb and retrieved a pair of divine relics. A magic sword, steeped in darkness, and a set of golden rings that radiated light. Left in the hands of a devout priest, there was no way they'd find themselves in the wrong hands.Just over a month ago, Paula Cassidy was approached by a mysterious individual with a magic sword and a deranged plan to kill the witch Verena. And that plan required the assistance of Paula and her Mage Eaters. It shouldn't take a genius to figure out that these events are connected.Or at least, two of them.A megalomaniacal VHS tape isn't exactly an ideal tool in a murder plot, but he can definitely throw a wrench in the works.
