The Things We Cannot Hear

At the beginning of 2012, a group of scientists started a series of tests to understand the sudden rise of Lyme disease. Soon though, the genes they played with mutated, causing those who had been bit by an infected tick to become aggressive. The infected humans' aggressive demeanor quickly escalated from defiance of authority, to homicidal actions. The infected had become so outraged that they would attack any living creature in sight. They began to rip their targets apart with their bare hands, and would occasionally eat the bodies flesh after killing them. When the outbreak started, it seemed to many non-believers to be some national scale prank. Ambrose and her family believed this as well. That was until it hit their hometown in Houston, Texas.
