Unlit cigarette

“Not bad out here, is it? Be outside all the time if I could… avoids all the ruckus.”“Ah… yes.” Gonta looks out at the flowers. “Gonta… doesn’t mind the ruckus, though.”“Well, that’s a relief.” Ryoma lets out a breathy chuckle. “Seems you’re always in the thick of it.”This is true. But that’s only to look after Kokichi, who has this way of thrusting himself into every conflict imaginable, even when (in Gonta’s personal opinion) it’s none of his business. They’re friends, after all, and Gonta could never leave him to handle all of that on his own… even if it is upsetting to see Kokichi slammed into the wall by his neck, or flinching when someone moves too fast, or…Ryoma’s gaze is on him, expectant once again. Gonta realises he’d spaced off.---Gonta joins Ryoma for a sit in the garden after the game. The two have a healing talk about the future.
