There are a million what-ifs from that night, a million things Roberto could’ve done or said. But that's just it, he didn’t do anything, and the universe has its plans. It’s unforgiving and doesn’t care how you feel. It’s so unforgiving that it snatched Clint away from him right underneath his nose, and maybe he thought he’d have time.

That’s the truth: he thought he would have all the time in the world. Or just years, months even. But the universe had its own ideas, and it having murdered Clint Briggs was obviously one of them. Even with the whole being dead thing, he has a second chance. He won’t let himself run out of time, not after everything that happened.
