Summary
Basil knew that everyone hated him for what he'd done. He had ruined all of their lives. He was worthless. But the boy from whom he took four years of his life and an eye for good measure was the first to forgive him. Perhaps deep down he always knew that would happen. He never lost the reason he committed the terrible crime four years ago. He still looked at the black-haired boy with fondness and a slight blush that nobody could notice. But there was too high of a cost - he could never let those feelings surface. That is, even without his other friends surely hating him even more if he did anything.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Your standard post good-end sunflower. My take on it, and we let these kids have some fun (relative to the shitfest I throw at them in Flowers on Thin Ice).Part of a three-part series updated simultaneously, Sunny Skies Expected Tomorrow. Three people, same setting, sunburn/suntan/sunflower to your preference, all with different themes.Expect this fic to be the longest, because 1. I do ship sunflower and 2. post good end sunflower pacing is always extremely difficult.
