The case Maya and Phoenix were currently working on wasn’t anything as big or severe as the many other cases they’ve been flung into - this one was a simple robbery that occurred at a nearby shopping mall. It took place at a flower shop, with the perpetrator taking the money within the store and injuring the cashier working, subsequently knocking them out. It seemed like a small altercation took place between the two, as implied by the knocked over vases and plants littered in the store.When the lawyer and his assistant first entered the store, they were greeted by the shop in disarray. While police questioned the people perusing the mall for any information they might have, Phoenix got his usual begrudgingly given permission from Gumshoe to explore the crime scene. What first stuck out to the two was the amount of marbles littered over the floor, most likely from the countless plant vases that were knocked over in the fight.Despite their peaceful start to the investigation, it was soon interrupted by the sharp sound of a cracking whip that narrowly missed Phoenix’s ears.
