Summary

Before he knows what he's doing, Buck is dialling a number more familiar to him than his own and bringing the phone up to his ear. It rings and rings and rings and clicks. "You've reached Eddie Diaz, call me back or leave a message after the beep." For a moment, Buck just breathes down the line, uncaring that Eddie will wake up in a few days and listen to the shaky wheeze of his exhales. He just needs a moment. The timbre of Eddie's voice so damn alive compared to the croak he'd had in the engine when he'd asked if Buck was hurt as he'd bled out.

(OR: five times buck uses random facts to tell eddie how he feels plus the one time christopher does it for him)
