almost sweet music -

Sirius Black was due to be married in a few months. Totally against his will, mind you, and to a woman he had never met and was by no means attracted to. Yet somehow, he found the wedding preparations halted, and not by his own plotting. An old childhood pact legally bound him as partnered with Remus Lupin. Only problem being, he hadn’t spoken to him in years.Remus had well and truly hit rock bottom. Standing before the gates of the Imperial Palace, he couldn't help but feel like a child again. It had been years since he had been the son of the palace gardener, wreaking havoc with a certain forbidden friend. Now he returned, trained in the arcane arts and desperate for employment. He was left with no choice but to follow in his father's footsteps and pick up horticulture, as well as a new name. Now dubbed, John Howell, he planned to make a few extra Galleons without unearthing too many old memories and avoiding the Black family like the plague.
