Richie's voice cracked saying his name and it broke Mike's heart to know how deeply this was affecting him.Mike knew that it wasn't as simple as telling Richie that he did the right thing. It isn't about that and he knows telling Richie that isn't going to make it all go away. They all killed the clown, together, but Mike knew this was different. Henry Bowers was a person. An insane person, sure. An evil person, but a person nevertheless. He remembers the way Richie immediately started to panic after he made sure Mike was okay, “No, I’m not fucking okay. I just fucking killed a guy!” Richie has been having nightmares about when he killed Henry Bowers. Eddie finally convinces him to call Mike and talk about it, and Mike helps finally bring Richie some peace.
