An alternate universe where after the disastrous Terry Fawles trial, Mia left the city to go back to Kurain Village. Phoenix became Diego's protege instead, and basically stepped in Mia's canonical shoes and now owns a law office in his name. Three years later, Mia is working under Phoenix and is now defending Larry in the second case of her career ("The First Turnabout")... but something seems different about this case.
