Summary
In the reign of the Emperor Claudius Christianity was just beginning to find roots in Rome, among the early converts were a Greek tailor named Androcles and his wife Lucretia.Devout to a faith oppressed by the State, Androcles and Lucretia kept their beliefs hidden but word, somehow, still got out, and when the couple took a stroll through the forest behind their villa, legionaries waited to arrest them.
