Summary
During the Chamber of Secrets, events proceed canonically with one important difference – the Basilisk bite removes Harry’s horcrux.Instead of encountering Albus, Harry encounters Lucius Malfoy, who is appalled at the fact that Harry was bit by a basilisk, Ginny was possessed by a diary, and by the general state of Professor Idiot…erm Lockhart. Appalled that the diary he’d intended to use to cause Arthur to get in trouble contained a fragment of the Dark Lord’s soul, Lucius shepherds the children and the obliviated Lockhart to St. Mungos, where Ginny undergoes treatment for her year of being possessed by the Dark Lord, Lockhart gets sent to the Janus Thickey, and Harry…well.Having a piece of the Dark Lord’s soul in him for over a decade is about the least of the child’s problems.
