Summary
Now, the lock on the cell door clicked, and it creaked open. The figure behind it was cloaked, and the thin sliver of moonlight did little to illuminate their face – but nonetheless, Tom recognized him. “I thought I ordered you never to enter my presence again,” he said mildly, stepping out of the cell and immediately letting magic swirl around his hands. “You’ve done your job of releasing me; now tell me why I shouldn’t kill you where you stand.”
