So Dance While You Can

“Hey… samurai trash,”Leo’s voice wavered through his heavy breathing. A ghost of a smile tugged on Yuichi’s mouth, and he managed a ‘mmh?’ in response. The mutant’s blood was still trickling from his wounds, pooling with Yuichi’s beneath their broken bodies.“You’ve made my life a hell of a lot more interesting. Dying like this… it’s worth the life I lived with you.”The rabbit yokai’s eyes closed again as he tried to conserve his little energy. If he’d had the strength, he would’ve laughed.“Ninja… scum…”A weak chuckle fought its way through Leo’s battered lungs as the rabbit whispered. Yuichi didn’t have a way with words like his husband, and he didn’t have the strength to try and come up with something so poetic. He settled on the factual, the obvious, the simple, instead.“…I love you too.” Inspired by Lykke Li’s ‘Love Out Of Lust’.
