The Blood In My Veins

Second in what is now a series! Please read the first in the series if you haven't already. This installment will make little sense, otherwise.Sam Lane turns out to be the leader of the anti-alien faction that forced Cat Grant and Kara Zor-El to go on the run after an attack on Cat's town car, and he loses his patience with the hunt. Instead, he'll make a deal - the freedom of Carter Grant and Eliza Danvers for Supergirl's surrender. Of course, Kara takes that deal.In captivity, Lane continues his sordid history of torture via kryptonite with Kara, but the pain she suffers under his thumb pales in comparison to the heartsick guilt and remorse she feels about what happened that night in the hotel with Cat. Between encounters with Lane and his hatred, Kara remembers the four days of silence between Cat and her after that night and how it was finally broken.
