Summary
It feels like a knife to the heart to know what Jimmy truly thinks of him. It aches. There had been tension between them when Jimmy married Fran and later when they ended up co-parenting Cassie after Fran died, but Duncan believed they'd moved on. He had mistakenly believed that they had reached a mutually respectful level of understanding.
This follows on from the end of series 5, episode 5, where Jimmy basically rips Duncan apart and Duncan goes off and gets drunk and passes out on the beach.
