goddamn this was the

Heartbroken and traumatised from the residue of the long lasting effects the Winter Soldier programming had on him, a healing Bucky Barnes wakes from a vivid nightmare come memory, and thinks about taking some sleeping pills that Sam Wilson, had given him. When Sam comes over, one thing leads to another and they tell each other how they feel, pouring out the emotions they've hidden, mostly not in words. But when Sam, the newly stationed Captain America gets called away for a mission, Bucky tells him he's taking the sleeping pills and dreams of Steve, who they had agreed to share, the three of them could be pretty damn happy. And when Strange brings the second love of his life back from the past, the three of them are finally allowed to be happy, that happens to also mean the three of them are in love, and they're very glad about that. Godammn, this was the good life for them.
