The sun beaming through the trees, the wind tussling his golden hair, and the other small boy sitting on the bank. Achilles splashing in the lake, causing ripples throughout, draw Patroclus’ eye. He sees Achilles, beaming at him through wet hair covering his face. He has to smile at a sight like that, who wouldn’t? The blond boy gestures for Patroclus to join him. He can’t say no, he couldn’t, even if he wanted to. Patroclus goes to school with Achilles after years of no contact and an awkward last interaction. They pine for each other and also hate each other. (but not really)
