Sleep Comes Down

This fic takes place in the same universe as 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐓𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞, an OC based Stranger Things RPG. In this alternate universe, mysterious plants grow out of the plumbing in Hawkins. They cause people to become insane and very sick, resulting in Hawkins being put under quarantine. The government attempts to cover up any evidence of their nefarious deeds, despite the fact that it becomes such an ecological hazard and attracting the attention of environmental activist groups.This story focuses on two original characters who are experiments much like Eleven, Henry and Kali. The only difference is that they are Russian experiments that were co-opted during the war. Numbers 012 and 013 realize that when they unite, their powers are stronger than when they are alone. This story contains references to Soviet/American relations, the complications that war brings, and the effect it has on minds of the youth as well as the world they are expected to inherit after the smoke clears. It is a story about the exploration of one's own mind in order to overcome crippling fears...and comradery.
