Summary
Ichi-go ichi-e (Japanese: 一期一会, lit. "one time, one meeting") is a Japanese four-character idiom that describes a cultural concept of treasuring the unrepeatable nature of a moment. The term has been roughly translated as "for this time only", and "once in a lifetime"───────── Kento inherited his family ryokan from his grandfather, the perfect catalyst for the change his life needed. The heirloom included the building, the terrain, the hot springs... and a not-so-unexpected tenant.
As he started his car, the words of his grandmother resonated within his head: “Be careful, though” She laughed, in that characteristically mischievous way she had. “My mother-in-law used to say that a ghost haunted the ryokan.”
