Cravings

“Oooh.” Out of all the possibilities, Laios was happy that it was this. His eyes twinkled as he looked at Kabru. For as long as he'd known him, Kabru had never once acknowledged that he was hungry. The thought never seemed to occur to him. Whether his body wasn't sending the correct signals, or whether he simply ignored them until he was on the verge of collapse, it was a concerning thing. The first time he'd heard Kabru admit that he was hungry was just after he'd found out that he was pregnant, and it seemed like that shift was there to stay. Maybe his body couldn't neglect its own needs anymore, now that it hosted a second body inside it that would suck nutrients out of Kabru one way or another. It was a good change. One of the few truly relieving things brought about by the pregnancy. “Yeah, I can make you something,” Laios offered immediately. “You shouldn't be eating anything big at this hour, but you probably don't want a full meal anyway, right?” He tilted his head curiously. “Ah, is there anything you're craving?” That was another side effect of the pregnancy, wasn't it? Kabru said something about random cravings.
