The Sitter

Kaeya is a certified nurse's assistant (CNA) at the hospital, working the night shift. It's both mundane and exciting, depending on the time and which group of patients he has. While he wrestles an agitated C. diff with multiple other medical personnel, a cute, new CNA had joined his floor for the night to watch over a confused pateint. He gets to meet him under the dim romantic orange lighting of the room, replacing an external catheter that Kaeya neglected to correct in the hours before. He wants to know more about him, but with how busy and fickle their schedules are, it seems almost impossible to catch up with each other. There just simply isn't a good time to stop and have a conversation that's more than just a few 'hello's.' Soon he learns that there is no perfect time. And that even tragedy couldn't prevent two strangers from getting together.
