Summary

Her fight was building up to tell Colin where he could stick his view of her suitors. The Bridgerton men had better manners than he’d been showing, and Pen didn’t discount telling his mother his mouth needed washing out. She excused herself to prepare to go out. She didn’t need her maid to cross the street. She knocked and was asked to wait for the butler to check if Colin was available. There were so many Bridgertons she pictured their childhoods like a flock of buoyant sheep being chased by governesses and valets. Male voices drifted from a hallway, and Benedict turned the corner with Anthony. They looked at her with small fumbles, and turned to greet her properly.
