Summary
"Through the Grounds of Chapter One" is a graduation speech written by me, published here in Archive of Our Own under the pseudonym "Feather". Having recently graduated high school at the age of 18, I am posting this speech as an attempt to reach the audience of those who have bared the world's weight and wept under its pressure, but have preserved themselves a million times in the gold-plated sorrows of life. A million first steps have been taken before you, imprinted in the Earth's memory, and the ground pleads for you to join. Congratulations, class of 2024, you have stood you ground.
