The path from Ruins to Steamworks is covered in dust. One human brought the kingdom to its knees with the death of the king. Their defeat was nearly absolute.Nearly.An unexpected variable slightly changes the outcome. The survivors must take a long, hard look at themselves and decide how to rebuild their broken world. Whether they are a new monarch burdened with picking up the pieces, a Royal Guard rookie who hesitated at the last moment or a depressed Royal Scientist with an orphaned Amalgamate, there's one matter they all agree on.It's a beautiful day outside and they will see it on their own terms. No more sacrifice. No more genocide. No more doing what humanity expects them to do. They will not lose the kindness that makes them monsters.
