An Ordinary Family

“Do you feel comfortable having dinner with them though? After what you saw earlier…”“I don’t mind.” Rey answered nonchalantly, the response was enough for Sakuya’s eyes to widen. “Your brothers seem like a rambunctious bunch, but it made the atmosphere quite lively, no?”“Wait, really? You’re not bothered by their antics?”“I don't think so. To be frank, I was quite overwhelmed at first, but my heart had eased so much more once I saw how well you and your mother handled them. They seem to be well-behaved too, which I believe is a testament to your capabilities as an older brother.”“Don’t give me all the credit, Bocchan…” Sakuya turned away, a faint blush painted across his cheeks. Rey couldn’t help a smile on his face as he found himself stealing glances at his rival.“Tell me more about your brothers. I would love to learn about them, just like I did with your mother.”______________After spending most of his life sheltered from the mundane world, Rey finally caught a glimspe of an ordinary life through Sakuya's family, even when Sakuya himself thought they were anything but normal.
