Summary
Dozens of small cassettes, some homemade and others bought or stolen, all from Charles’ original collection from when he was alive. Most of them were singles and b-sides from his favorite artists. The homemade ones were covered in Charles' unintelligible scrawl and weren't helpfully labeled.Edwin’s detective's intuition told him to look at them. He kept browsing until one tape caught his eye. His own name was lovingly scratched out in Charles' best handwriting. The first song, "The Promise" by When in Rome, came with a longer note."Things I wish I could tell him."
