Accidental Penalties

After qualifying in P8, Lewis and Bono were spending another late night huddled together, backs bent and necks craned as they poured over data from not only Qualifying, but also Free Practices, trying to figure out how best to salvage tomorrow’s race, when Lewis saw a flash of orange – no, papaya – caught his eye.Turning, Lewis spotted Oscar hovering nervously in the doorway, clearly unwilling to enter a space that was so very Mercedes. Fortunately, Toto had gone back to the hotel at a reasonable hour – along with most of the Mercedes staff – so there was no one to chastise Oscar or glower in Lewis’ direction.Except Bono, but Lewis had his back to his Race Engineer at the moment.
