Summary

A blonde walked into his cell, dressed in brown khaki and looking like a sweet little Nazi gingerbread doll. The effect of the ill-advised uniform was worse on her because she was short, young and about halfway through a pregnancy. The female version had a calf length skirt instead of slacks, and even that amount of leg got a strangely warm reaction out of Davis. She smiled briefly, coolly, and sat down on the folding chair the guards had brought in. She wasn't so pregnant she had to fumble, and she was wearing high heels that looked like they'd be called 'sensible.'Irrationally, Davis hoped she was being careful on the stairs.“I'm Agent Sullivan,” she told him, then opened a small Bible and started reading. She was safely out of reach, but close like a real visit. She sat across from him and read all of Genesis, glancing at his face every once in a while to check he was listening.
