An Unexpected Reunion at

In the post-Dark Era winter, Chuuya Nakahara stands in a long, crowded queue to visit a local shrine for the New Year’s celebration. Amidst the cold and the dense crowd, an old woman attempts to cut the line but is gently corrected by a young boy. Chuuya notices something familiar about the woman and engages her in conversation, eventually realising it’s his old partner, Dazai Osamu, disguised for amusement. Despite the surprise and irritation, Chuuya and Dazai enjoy a moment of camaraderie, reflecting on the desire for peace in the new world as they finally reach the shrine and make their offerings together.
