A New Dawn

They arrive at a hiking trail and take a walk down the jagged path. Toya seems a little nervous and Akito cannot seem to deduce why. He seemed really excited when he pitched the idea back at their apartment. Akito looks over at Toya and intertwines their fingers. “Hey everything ok?” Toya looks back at him and his expression softens. “Of course, why wouldn’t it be?” Akito looks down to see Toya is fidgeting with the picnic box handle he is holding. Akito can tell more than anyone when his boyfriend is uneasy. Akito gives Toya’s hand a squeeze. “You know you can tell me anything?” Toya looks back at Akito. “I know, don’t worry I am not keeping any secrets from you.”
