The Queen is dead

“So that’s it?” Cassie finds herself saying, looking from one woman to the other. “It’s just... over? No more scary mutants to be on the lookout for?”“Brave new world, isn’t it?” comments Wanda with a smile that doesn’t even come close to meeting her eyes. And how can she not be bitter, standing here, right where her brother died...Well, a version of her brother – but it wasn’t easy to be all logical about these things. She was not exactly meeting her father’s hollow, oversized eyesockets either, was she? Not her place to judge then.“God, this place feels cursed,” she shudders, running her eyes over the many motionless mutants.“Places where this many have fallen often do,” Hela says. In a tone so soft it’s impossible not to remember the TVA condemned her to the Void for the crime of failing to bee the bloodthirsty, indiscriminately murderous goddess of death she was in every other timeline. The nice Hela, that was her. Looking at the many dead humans at her feet with compassion. Worse, something akin to resolution. “You’re going to raise them, aren’t you?” Cassie accuses.
