Summary
Everyone comes to Oletus Manor for a reason, to play a game. The initiation of their arrival to the manor’s ranks. As for him, his avarice had led to his hands basking in a deeper red than his prior sins. Or, at least he tried to. Despite the ease of indulgence, it seemed Norton Campbell could not kill again.
Blood cannot wash off blood, after all, and the red stain it gives to pyrite will never emulate gold.
But lack of murderous intent or the farce of it does not equal amicability, so why does he find himself willingly lugging jars of honey for the same entomologist he tried to kill? Why does he head to the gardens when he finds he has nothing better to do? Why does he feel relieved (this will probably bite him back in the future) when he sees a swarm of bees?
He turns in his bed.
