Jump then fall

"This was probably going to be Henry's last Olympics and Alex's last chance to beat him. They had both worked so fucking hard to make it here. Henry to build up the fitness and technique after time away, and Alex to make sure he would still make the team despite the talented pool of younger divers moving up the ranks in the USA. So yeah, you had to peak at the right time for an Olympics year. But Alex and Henry had worked hard at an age where many would have put them past their peak. And it worked. Over the last 2 years they had traded medal colours at different competitions. Henry was the current British, European and Commonwealth champion. But they didn't count since Alex wasn't eligible for them. It was Alex who came into these Olympic Games as the reigning world champion. It was so fucking on."Henry and Alex go head to head in Paris in the Olympic 10m platform diving final.
