Summary
'Pete' the way Carl says it sounds like a sigh.'So they want to get us together for some shows, eh? How about it?' It's always been this way, Pete will hear from someone or other that talks of a Libertines reunion are back on the table but ultimately the ball is in Carl's court on the state of The Libertines. There's simply aspects of the whole thing Carl won't be moved on and where that used to wound Pete, give him gaping sores, proof that Carl didn't love him, didn't see them - him - the way Pete saw them, time has softened their hurt - and probably the two boys themselves - to a blunt acceptance. Regardless, Pete can't resist being the one to extend the new leaf every time....or: It's been years since the last time The Libertines were an actual band. Pete is officially clean and his new hobby, taking ice baths, has given him a clarity like never before. This clear headedness leads to equal new roads for his band - and his relationship to Carl. Tentative measures to repair their bond ensues.
