Summary
The gentle brush of his own name against his ear beckoned Satoru from his groggy state. The thrum of drums beat against the interior of his skull, and the draft of cold air creeping into the room did nothing to convince Satoru to refrain from clutching the ragged sheet draped haphazardly over his body to hide underneath. At the very least, he was desperate to shield his eyes from the light leaking around the one looming over him.
“Satoru.” His name once again rang through his ears. The honeyed tone lulled Satoru into a false sense of security before preceding the pitless hand that tore his covers clean off his body. “It’s time for you to wake up, Satoru.”
With nothing to keep Satoru nestled in the realm of slumber, his eyes snapped open to glare daggers at the one responsible—only, to his horror, a very sharp, very real knife was currently held out a few centimeters from his face. The vexed expression of the tattooed man holding said weapon did not instill any sense of safety within the scene this day had greeted Satoru with.
