Getting a Vampire to

Whipping around, he whisked out his phone, turned the flashlight on, and promptly let out a shriek.

Inches apart from his face was a man hanging from the goddamn ceiling with messy lavender hair, purple irises and white pupils that honest to fuck stared straight into his petrified soul, his milky white skin almost glowing with the light from his phone. The upside-down face of the man squinted and brought a gloved hand to swat the phone away.

The lights turned back on again and Denki stared, gaping, as he took in the—the vampire in front of him, exactly how the lady had described, the only missing detail being the eyebags that made it look like he hadn’t slept in years but somehow worked.

Denki always believed in vampires. Even as a little kid, he was interested in the mythical beings that supposedly 'didn't exist.' But he never stopped believing. So when the old lady at the bookstore lets it slip that all she wants is for her daughter to believe in vampires, he makes a decision—a stupid one, but he's sure he won't regret it nonetheless.
