Summary
You can't sleep. Not with all these thoughts racing through your head: the fire, Laura, the pack...it's enough to drive you insane. And then you think about someone who almost makes all that noise in your head die away. Almost. Because his voice in your head is a different noise all its own.
And then you hear he's in trouble. He's gasping, groaning, crying out. And then you hear it: your name falling from his lips.
