The kid has a nasty habit of trying to block blows with his right arm, despite being left handed. A trait he’s carried on from watching his ax-wielding father, no doubt. It’s not going to do Helmeppo any good to continue fighting like that, but that’s a problem Bogard can address later. Along with how goddamn danger prone Garp’s apprentices are.
“Always has to be one of you,” he grumbles bitterly, hiking Helmeppo a little higher on his back. At least it wasn’t Koby this time.
